FEARBRY MARVIN JAMES, JR. "BUTCH"
On Saturday, September 20, 2008, age 75, of the North Side.

Beloved husband of the late Delores Wilson-Fearbry; son of the late Marvin James, Sr. and Ella Kate Fearbry; also survived by 7 children, 3 brothers and 1 sister, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation with the family Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Metropolitan Baptist Church, 22 Sampsonia St., NS where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM. Interment Highwood Cemetery.

Mr. Fearbry retired from the J&L Steel Corporation in 1992. He played baseball with many sandlot teams such as the Stars, Grays and Terrace Village in the Pittsburgh area.

His most noticeable baseball accomplishment was that he played in the National Negro League for the Indianapolis Clowns.

While serving in the United States Army in Germany, Cpl. Marvin J. Fearbry, Jr. played a baseball game against Willie Mays.
